• Burn Responsibly: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep.
• Keep Away from Flammable Items: Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from curtains, bedding, paper, or any flammable materials.
• Out of Reach of Children & Pets: Keep candles in a secure place where little hands and paws can’t reach.
• Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and uneven burning.
• Burn Time & Wax Pool: Allow the candle to burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the container to prevent tunneling. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Ventilation Matters: Burn in a well-ventilated area but away from strong drafts or fans that can cause uneven burning or excessive flickering.
• Stop Use When Low: Discontinue use when about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom to prevent overheating and glass breakage.
• Extinguish Safely: Instead of blowing out the flame, gently dip the wick into the wax pool using a wick dipper or a heat-resistant tool. This prevents smoke and helps with an easier relight.

1. First Burn is Important

• Light your candle for at least 2 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edges of the container, but no more than 4 hours.
• This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s life.

2. Trim the Wick Before Each Burn

• Keep your cotton wick trimmed to ¼ inch to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and high flames.
• If the wick is too long, the candle may burn unevenly or create black soot.
• Use scissors or a wick trimmer to maintain the ideal length.

3. Lighting Your Candle

• Light the wick at the base and allow it to establish a steady flame.
• If the wick is too long, trim it before relighting for a controlled burn.

4. Burning Guidelines

• Burn your candle in a draft-free area to prevent flickering and uneven burning.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating.
• Always place on a heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials, children, and pets.
